I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .

How much do they run?

How does the sizing run?

How do they perform over time?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.

Would you recommend them?

Yes! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also be smart.

They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.

How durable are they?
